Megan and Morgan’s wedding was a beautiful celebration filled with timeless details, meaningful family heirlooms, and the love of 250 friends and family members. From sentimental opal jewelry to heartfelt vows that made the rest of the world seem to disappear, their day in Cheney, Washington was filled with reminders of the generations of love surrounding them. Megan went into her dress journey with an idea of the style she thought she wanted, but like so many brides, she ended up falling in love with something completely different. The moment she tried on her gown, she loved how classy and timeless it made her feel. A beautiful lace detail within the slit was what truly made her fall in love, and to make the moment even sweeter, the dress fit her perfectly without needing alterations. It simply felt meant to be!
On June 21, 2025, Megan and Morgan celebrated their wedding in Cheney, Washington with around 250 of their closest family and friends. Although the day brought some chilly temperatures and wind, a large tent and heaters kept everyone cozy while they enjoyed incredible food, desserts, and plenty of celebration. Even Morgan’s dog had an important role in the day as their ring bearer!
Megan chose a beautiful color palette of bronze and dusty apricot, with her flowers becoming one of her favorite details. Some of the most meaningful pieces she wore, however, were connected to the women in their families. Her opal necklace, which also represented her birthstone, belonged to her great-grandmother, and Megan and Morgan’s wedding date happened to fall on her great-grandmother’s birthday. Her earrings were custom made for the wedding using an opal ring that belonged to Morgan’s grandmother, allowing Megan to carry pieces of both families with her throughout the day.
One of Megan’s favorite moments was hearing Morgan’s vows. Watching him become emotional as he expressed his love for her made their ceremony feel incredibly intimate. Despite being surrounded by hundreds of people, Megan remembers feeling as though she and Morgan were the only two people there as they exchanged their vows.
Another memory Megan treasures happened just before walking down the aisle. She had a final moment completely to herself before her dad joined her, giving her the chance to pause, take everything in, and reflect on how blessed she felt before stepping into one of the biggest moments of her life.
Her advice for future brides? “Don’t sweat the small things that go wrong. I lost one of my earrings that I got custom made for the wedding. I wish I hadn’t taken so much time looking for it and just enjoyed the time I had. Don’t forget to take step back and really try to be in the moment of everything going on around you.”
