Alexis + Lucas

Alexis and Lucas’s wedding was a magical garden celebration filled with music, romance, and meaningful moments shared with their closest loved ones. From twinkling fairy lights and beautiful florals to a live jazz band and swing dancing, their day at Cascade Gardens was a perfect reflection of their shared love for music. Congratulations Alexis and Lucas! Welcome to the Believe Bride Family!

Lucas planned a proposal that couldn't have been more fitting for their love story! Knowing their shared passion for music, he organized a jazz band and convinced Alexis that they needed her to play the flute. What she thought was simply an opportunity to make music turned into the surprise of a lifetime when Lucas began singing "Fly Me to the Moon." At the end of the song, he asked Alexis to marry him, creating a moment that was every bit as romantic as it was unforgettable.

When Alexis began her wedding dress journey, she wasn't entirely sure what she was looking for. But sometimes the perfect dress is the very first one you try on! The moment she stepped into her first gown at Believe Bride, she knew it was the one. Although she hadn't pictured herself choosing a sleeveless style, the dress was simply too beautiful to pass up. It was a reminder that sometimes the dress you least expect is the one you fall in love with!

On June 21, 2025, Alexis and Lucas celebrated their wedding at Cascade Gardens in Yakima, Washington. Surrounded by lush trees, blooming flowers, and glowing fairy lights, their garden setting felt like something out of a fairytale. A little morning rain brought cooler temperatures and soft, overcast skies, creating a beautiful atmosphere for their celebration.

One of the most meaningful details of their ceremony was their officiant. Alexis and Lucas asked their music professor, who had watched their relationship grow throughout college, to be the one to marry them. It was such a special way to include someone who had been part of their journey together.

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to enjoy a coffee bar or take a swing dancing lesson before the reception festivities began. As musicians themselves, Alexis and Lucas knew they wanted live music to be a big part of their celebration. A jazz big band filled the evening with swing music, giving everyone the opportunity to dance and celebrate in a way that felt completely true to the couple.

With fewer than 100 guests, Alexis and Lucas were able to spend meaningful time with everyone who came to celebrate. One of Alexis’s favorite memories was visiting each table and catching up with their friends and family. But perhaps the sweetest moment happened just after the ceremony, when the newlyweds took fifteen minutes completely to themselves. Having that quiet time together as husband and wife was something Alexis will always treasure.

Her advice for future brides? “Relax, enjoy the moment and make planning as simple and easy for you to alleviate stress.”
