Amanda and Dakota’s wedding was a magical celebration filled with woodland romance, rich jewel tones, and meaningful personal touches. Inspired by the beauty of an enchanted forest with a little nod to Bella and Edward’s wedding from Twilight, their special day in Sedro-Woolley, Washington was anything but traditional. From a dreamy forest-inspired gown to a heartfelt ceremony honoring both families, every detail reflected their unique love story. Congratulations Amanda and Dakota! Welcome to the Believe Bride Family!
Dakota’s proposal took place during a very special trip across the world! While visiting his parents, who were stationed in London with the military, the couple spent time exploring and enjoying their visit together. The day before their eight-year anniversary, Dakota brought Amanda to a charming tea shop called The Muffin Man, where he surprised her by asking her to marry him. It was a sweet and unforgettable way to celebrate nearly eight years of love and the beginning of their next chapter together.
Amanda had a very specific vision for her wedding dress. She wanted something inspired by the forest, with an A-line silhouette and possibly sleeves, but without traditional pink tones or floral details. After a disappointing experience at another bridal shop earlier that morning, she arrived at Believe Bride hoping to find something that truly felt like her. Her stylist, Meagan, took the time to sit down with her on the floor and ask her to describe her dream dress. That simple moment of being genuinely listened to became one of Amanda’s favorite memories from her entire dress journey.
And Meagan knew just what to pull! She brought out a gown covered in shimmering glitter with delicate vine-like details that seemed to grow from the center. The dress was called Misty, and its soft, almost gray shimmer reminded Amanda of mist floating through a forest. She described feeling like Mother Nature herself when she put it on! After taking the night to think about it, Amanda realized nothing else compared. And discovering that the gown had pockets was the perfect finishing touch. She said YES to the dress!
On September 27, 2025, Amanda and Dakota brought their enchanted forest vision to life in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. With rich jewel tones, woodland-inspired details, and a touch of Twilight romance, their wedding was a beautiful reflection of their personalities. Amanda embraced the creative process, searching thrift stores and Facebook Marketplace for treasures to incorporate into their décor. Nearly every detail was a DIY project, making the celebration feel even more personal.
Their ceremony was especially meaningful, with thoughtful traditions that honored both families. Dakota’s parents walked him halfway down the aisle before continuing together, allowing him to follow behind. Amanda was escorted by both of her parents, who also stopped halfway, where Dakota met them. Her dad placed her hand in Dakota’s before her parents continued down the aisle and the couple walked to the altar together. It was a beautiful symbol of their families coming together and the beginning of Amanda and Dakota’s journey as husband and wife.
Before the ceremony, Amanda and Dakota also shared a private first look beside the creek at their venue, where they exchanged personal vows with just the two of them present. Another special moment came when Amanda dedicated her bouquet to her mother, creating a meaningful memory they could share. And while the day was filled with beautiful details, Amanda’s favorite part was seeing family and friends travel from near and far to celebrate with them. Watching everyone relax, laugh, and enjoy themselves made all the planning worthwhile.
Her advice for future brides? “Girl, don’t overthink on your big day. Take a breath… If I be could go back and do one thing different it would be to have a watch on me. My dress had pockets and I didn’t have a wedding planner so I wish I could’ve appreciated a moment in that exact second.”
