Shalisha + Nate

On the beautiful summer day of June 17th, 2023, Shalisha and Nate joined their lives together amidst the stunning wilderness of the Gateway Campground in Idaho. Their wedding was a celebration of love, simplicity, and rustic elegance, which perfectly embraced the enchanting beauty of the forest surroundings. With their closest family and friends gathered around, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows in a breathtaking ceremony, which radiated an intimacy that filled the air with joy and emotion. As the sun began to set, they danced under the pavilion, a cherished testament to Shalisha's grandparents' love, creating an atmosphere of sheer magic. It was a day filled with sweet moments and everlasting memories, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together as Mr. and Mrs.! Congratulations Shalisha and Nate! Welcome to the Believe Bride Family!

The Proposal! I was having a bad day, and we were watching our kids play in the above ground kiddie pool and to cheer me up, he proposed. Nothing fancy or crazy.

The Dress! I started shopping June 2022 to get ideas, designers and styles I liked and what I wanted in my dress. July 17, 2022 I booked my VIP bridal appointment and my stylist was Alexa. I told her the important pieces of what I'm looking for in my dress: A-line, no sleeves; thin straps; lace and applique; some sparkle and price range and showed her some inspiration pics and she came back with so many gorgeous dresses. It was my first time ever dress shopping or wearing wedding dresses so I had no idea what to expect. I took the whole two hours to decide from 3 final dresses, but the one I looked and felt best in had a little bit of everything I was looking for in the dress, where the others had some but missing others. So it was the closest to what I envisioned and I looked and felt the best in.

The Big Day! Outdoor with an enchanted forest type aesthetician with some hints of rustic charm. I kind of mixed some different themes together to make it look unique but not tacky or clashy; it actually turned out nice (used bits and pieces of my favorite things from each style). It was also simple but still beautiful and elegant as we didn't have a lot of help setting up.

What was your favorite part of your wedding? Finding out my grandparents helped build the Pavillion where we had our reception and marrying my best friend with some of our closest family and friends and knowing, even though smaller than we had hoped and planned for, those people cared about us enough to drive 2.5 hours and free their weekend to celebrate with us.

Special Memories: I made a speech about my dad, who passed June 25, 2021, and I did the father-daughter dance with my uncle who was always like another father to me (which the dance was a complete surprise.) And he had wrecked his bike and dog got hurt just before, but still made it from California to Idaho to give me away. Also my cousin, and bestfriend, from California as well, who has never left the state, flew out for my wedding too.

What advice would you give to future brides?: To do the best you can and to find a crew that when push comes to shove, will get down to business to help you and your groom out. Don't sweat the small stuff, no one will know what you forgot or took out. Be expected to be busy from start to finish but plan accordingly so you don't have to rush and can enjoy parts of your big day. Giving all your vendors a timeline of the day and/or photography timeline helps keep everyone on schedule and guests have an idea. Have your dj announce when you're going to do your bridal/groom portraits so people don't leave while you're gone. And so much more, but most importantly, have fun and enjoy.

Sarah + Kitrick

On a beautiful summer day in Helena, MT, love truly blossomed as Sarah and Kitrick embarked on their journey of forever at the Shades of Green on June 30th, 2023. Surrounded by their cherished loved ones, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows, their voices filled with sincerity and tenderness. It was a wedding filled with pure happiness, an enchanting reflection of the love that Sarah and Kitrick share. Congratulations Sarah and Kitrick! Welcome to the Believe Bride Family!

The Proposal! We went on a dreamy winter weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. We had planned to go snowshoe around the lake; however, I got sick, and we just stayed in bed the whole morning. There was an incoming blizzard, so we decided to get on the road before we got caught in it. When we got home, I still was not well, so I got comfy and snuggled into bed again. He came over to my side of the bed and presented a book he wrote for me to celebrate our anniversary. At the end of the book, he expressed his love and got down on one knee to ask the best question I've ever been asked! "Of course," was my answer. And although he had planned to ask on our snowshoe adventure, asking in our bedroom made it feel intimate and just as special.

The Dress! I went into dress day having an idea of what I was looking for, though I also had an open mind to something that was not on my radar. I wanted something fitted but comfortable. I knew I wanted lace, but not too much. I tried on a few at another shop that just really never made me feel like a bride. When I got to Believe they instantly made me feel special with the sash and excited faces greeting you. I told my stylist what I had in mind, and she pulled a few that were very similar. When I tried mine on, it was comfortable, passed the sitting test, and fit me like a glove. It felt perfect in every way.

The Big Day! We wanted our wedding to be a celebration of love. Our colors were natural to the surroundings of our venue: blues, greens, whites, and hints of pink. We also wanted it to feel intimate and romantic, so we added lights everywhere and had under 100 guests attend. We were able to talk to all of our friends and family throughout the night, which made it feel extra special.

What was your favorite part of your wedding? Our favorite moment of the wedding was sharing our handwritten vows with each other. It felt like it was just us, even though our friends and family surrounded us.

Special Memories: The first look and special daddy-daughter dance with the groom and his two little girls was very special to watch. The girls never lost their huge grins and of course dad shed some tears.

Giving the girls their necklaces as a sign of my love and care for them, as now their bonus mom felt so special. A moment I will never forget. Their eyes lit up when they learned they were also getting a gift during the ceremony.

What advice would you give to future brides? Get the grooms input on the day. It's a day to celebrate the love and bond you have, so his opinion also matters. Also give yourself grace, not everything is going to go right, and you aren't going to find all the perfect details your mind thinks you will find. It will be okay, and the day will still be beautiful!

Lauren + Justin

Lauren and Justin's wedding on the 1st of July 2023 at the Willows at Wolf Lodge was a celebration of love in its purest form. The couple opted for a simple yet elegant affair, incorporating blush pink and gold accents throughout the venue. The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter as there were playful jokes woven into the fun. The day was a beautiful reflection of the couple's personalities, and shared passions. It was a heartfelt and sentimental occasion, culminating in a perfect day that will forever hold a special place in the hearts of Lauren and Justin, as well as their loved ones. Congratulations Lauren and Justin! Welcome to the Believe Bride Family!

The Dress! During my second appointment I actually found the dress myself on the rack as we walked by. Darlene was great but I just didn’t fall in love with anything until this one caught my eye. It was the first one I tried on that second appointment and knew it was the one!!

The Proposal! Justin took me on a weekend getaway to an Airbnb in Spokane. To end the weekend, he took me up to the rose garden in Manito Park where his friend had left rose petals in the gazebo. He had a photographer in the bushes and my family watching from afar. It was the perfect proposal.

The Big Day! Our wedding was simple and elegant when it came to flowers and decor. We went with simple colors of agave and blush pink with gold accents throughout. My husband is big into football, so we did a coin toss during the ceremony to see who had to read their vows first. We also had one last kiss with our mothers during the ceremony which was sweet. Everyone had fun and it was the perfect day.

What was your favorite part of your wedding? The speeches from our sisters were amazing. I also really enjoyed the garter removal. My husband and the DJ planned a little bit where he pulled out a football and fishing pole before he “found” the garter. I had no idea it was going to happen (the only surprise to me on the day) and it was hilarious. I also loved giving my fiancé a pin with his late best friend’s face on it so he could wear that all day and still have his buddy with him on our special day.

Special Memories: The pin I described above was a special memory. Same with the speeches from our sisters. I also made my own custom wedding cookies so those were super special!

What advice would you give to future brides? Don’t stress the little things. Make a decision and move on during the planning process because the day of and all the days after you won’t remember how it was. Choose things that make you happy and bring you peace. If you are stressing, you’re doing it wrong.

Erica + Jacob

On the 3rd of July 2023, Erica and Jacob celebrated their wedding at the enchanting Rivaura winery with grape fields covering the landscape. The ceremony was a delightful blend of fun and sweetness, reflecting the couple's joyful personalities. After exchanging heartfelt vows, they added a touch of spontaneity and humor by playfully shot gunning a beer together, much to the delight of their guests. The celebration continued with a mouthwatering taco bar, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. Throughout the day, Erica, Jacob and their guests created lasting memories, making the event stress-free and truly unforgettable. Love and laughter filled the air as they embarked on their journey as a happily married couple. Congratulations Erica and Jacob! Welcome to the Believe Bride Family!

Finding the Dress! Being an easy-going person made it easy to find my dress! I like one right away and then tried on a bunch more coming back to the first!

The Big Day! Our wedding was the perfect day! No “hiccups” even, yay! It was a beautiful (hot) day in the middle of the winery’s grape fields! We got married under a rustic looking “barn” which perfectly held all our guests. Our vows were sweet AND funny, as that’s who we are but right after “I do” we walked down the aisle straight to our taco bar to kick off the reception. We of course shot gunned a beer at the alter first haha! The funniest part about our wedding was when I got crickets stuck in the dress tulle after walking through the vineyard for pictures! We were surround by all our friends and family, danced, laughed, ate cake, and it was perfect!

What was your favorite part of your wedding? My favorite part of my wedding was becoming a Covey and gaining some many new amazing family members. The whole day was amazing, and I couldn’t pick just one thing to be my favorite.

Special Memories: It was most special having our son walk our rings to us to be united!

What advice would you give to future brides? My advice to anyone in life especially a future bride is to take it easy and don’t stress. Life goes the way it wants and we’re just here to ride the waves.

Isabel + Tyler

Isabel and Tyler's wedding on the 6th of May 2023, was a beautiful blend of sweet intimacy and delightful celebration. The couple had their ceremony at the beautiful LDS Temple in Spokane, Washington, setting the stage for a deeply heartfelt exchange of vows. Surrounded by their closest loved ones, they sealed their love with joyous smiles and tears of happiness. As evening came, the couple welcomed their extended family and friends to a grand reception, at Barefoot Blossoms Barn, filled with laughter, dancing, and an abundance of vibrant flowers. Isabel's vision of floral magnificence came to life, creating a captivating atmosphere that captivated all who attended. This was a day where love blossomed both in the hearts of two individuals and in the vibrant petals that adorned their celebration. Congratulations Isabel and Tyler! Welcome to the Believe Bride Family!

The Proposal! Tyler had our friends ask us on a double date to recreate what we did on our first date:) As the sun was setting he got down on one knee and proposed!

The Big Day! I LOVE flowers and wanted flowers to be the focus of the wedding. We tried planting our wedding flowers to grow them ourselves, but the cold had its own plans on that front. But nonetheless, it was awesome:) We were married in a private little ceremony in the Spokane LDS temple with family and friends in the early afternoon. That night we had a huge reception/party in our neighbor’s barn. The reception was like a dream. There were flowers everywhere; on the path leading to the barn, the tables, the cake, even hanging from the ceiling in a big chandelier. We had a local food truck cater liege waffles with some of our favorite toppings; and we made a giant charcuterie board that filled a whole table. It was amazing to see all the friends and family that came out to support us. After mingling, eating, and cutting the cake we danced the night away with all our peeps. My dad loves any excuse to set off fireworks, so as we left he set off fireworks to light up the night. It was awesome!

What was your favorite part of your wedding? My favorite moment was actually suggested to us by a friend the night before. As everyone was setting up to send us off, we had one last slow song play as a private little last dance for Tyler and I. As fun as our first dance was, this little last dance was such a special memory to share together. In that moment of quiet, it was just me and my hubby:)

Special Memories: A couple other little tidbits:
-the rain thankfully held off until our ceremony pictures were done!
-my sweet adopted grandma, GG, had been in a recovery nursing home just a few nights before the big day, but miraculously recovered enough to be able to come to our ceremony and reception!

What advice would you give to future brides? Decide beforehand that whatever happens on you wedding day, you’re going to love it! I spent the morning being stressed about all the details and I wish I had just relaxed and lived in the moment with all my family around me. Your wedding day is going to be perfect, no matter what little hiccups happen along the way:)

Becca + Travis

The wedding of Becca and Travis on May 6th, 2023, at Farragut State Park was an absolute blast! This dynamic duo took "May the Force be with you" to a whole new level by hosting a full-blown Star Wars themed wedding. From start to finish, the park was transformed into a galaxy far, far away, with lightsabers sparkling in every corner. Becca, looking like a Sith lord in her stunning gown, walked down the aisle hand-in-hand with Travis, who rocked an all-black Darth Vader tux. It was a day where love and the Force were perfectly balanced, making for a truly unforgettable day. Congratulations Becca and Travis! Welcome to the Believe Bride Family!

The Proposal! It was a perfect night! We were throwing a Halloween Party at our home with friends and family. I was dressed as Morticia Addams, and he was dressed as Gomez (of course!). He caught me completely off guard! He started with addressing the party and thanking everyone for joining us. He then got down on one knee and asked me with the most beautiful ring I have ever seen! I screamed "YES!" and then a few of the guys popped about 4 of the confetti canons. I was finding confetti for months afterwards! Yet, every little piece I found put a giant grin on my face. ☺️

The Big Day! The wedding was incredible! We are both Star Wars fans and we decided to do a full "Darkside" theme and just have fun with it! My dress was black and silver to resemble Darth Vader. My ladies wore full length red dresses to symbolize the Red Guard. My husband was in a full black on black tux with his men in black tuxes with red vests. We all wore black cloaks walking down the aisle. The gentlemen removed their cloaks once I reached the archway. Due to it being a little chilly and sprinkling rain, myself and the ladies kept our cloaks on. My father walked me down the aisle dressed as Darth Maul (minus the mask). My oldest son dressed as Luke Skywalker, my middle son was Kylo Ren, and they walked directly in front of me. My youngest, our ring bearer dressed as The Mandalorian. Our flower girl wore a black and white dress with silhouettes of various Star Wars Characters.

My brother officiated and included "Sith Lore" throughout the ceremony. During the "If anyone has a reason these two should not be joined...", our DJ (dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi) came RUNNING down the aisle yelling, "This union is an abomination!" At which point my youngest, who was standing next to me, "shot" him with his Mando gun, saying a very cute, "pew, pew!"

After the ceremony, the wedding party went down to the beach to take pictures. Because it was rainy and muggy, the esthetic was PERFECT! The back mountains had fog rolling down and it was just barely sprinkling so we weren't getting soaked.

After pictures, we returned to the party for food! We did a taco bar for food which I highly recommend.

The wedding was absolutely perfect! The one piece of advice I have is, if you plan on doing pictures after the ceremony like we did, say hello to as many guests as you can before you go. I was so wrapped up in everything that I didn't take into account that there are many guests that only come for the ceremony and not the reception. Because of this, by the time we came back from doing pictures, half of the guests had left and I hadn't been able to say hi to most of them.

What was your favorite part of your wedding? My absolute favorite part was the interaction with the DJ running down the aisle. It was a dash of comedy in a semi-serious situation, and it was hilariously wonderful!

Special Memories: The entire day was magical! However, seeing the look on my husband's face when he turned around and saw me for the first time was *chef's kiss*. Then, he took off his cloak and I was just about drooling he was so handsome!

What advice would you give to future brides? Don't sweat the small stuff! I know it seems like an asinine statement but we as bride's spend MONTHS stressing before the wedding even comes! Allow yourself to actually enjoy the day. The best thing I did was hire a coordinator. We planned the wedding entirely on our own but when it came down to the day, I didn't want to worry about the details. I didn't want the stresses of making sure everything was stocked or going according to plan. It made the day run much more smooth and I wasn't getting asked a million questions!

Taylor + Jakob

On the 22nd of May, 2022, Taylor and Jakob sweet and intimate ceremony with their closest loved ones. The intimate atmosphere was adorned with sentimental touches, reflecting the depth of their connection. As the sun dipped below the horizon, they transitioned into a joyous social reception, where laughter and love abounded. With a Polaroid camera in hand, they captured each cherished moment, carrying the energy to the bar and ensuring that their celebration lingered long into the night. Congratulations Taylor and Jakob! Welcome to the Believe Bride Family!

The Proposal! Jakob and I have been together for nearly 6 years and are high school sweethearts. He proposed on New Year’s Eve with my sister and boyfriend on whitefish beach. It was a cloudy night but the perfect memories!

The Big Day! We had a small wedding at our local church. We were focused on keeping it small and sentimental with those closest to us. We had sunflowers in honor of his mom and white gladiolus in honor of my grandparents. My favorite part of our day (other than getting married) was our private moment after the ceremony where our coordinator brought us our dinner and we ate just the two of us before the reception. This gave us the chance to socialize with our guests during dinner!

What was your favorite part of your wedding? The Polaroid camera we took to the after party at the bar. Some of the best memories came from these photos!

Special Memories: Being able to mingle during dinner, and the drunk memories from the bar!

What advice would you give to future brides? Have Polaroid cameras and have a sign on the table with your phone numbers for your guests to send photos so you can look at them at the end of the night.

Mickenzie + Jimmy

Mickenzie and Jimmy's wedding on April 14th, 2023, in Royse City, Texas, radiated warmth and joy. The day was filled with laughter, love, and an undeniable sense of family. Friends and relatives from all corners of the country came together to celebrate the beautiful union. The wedding was a delightful blend of tradition and individuality, mirroring the vibrant personalities of the couple. It was a day that will forever be cherished, filled with happy memories, heartfelt moments, and a promise of a lifetime together. Congratulations Mickenzie and Jimmy! Welcome to the Believe Bride Family!

The Proposal! We got engaged in New York City after he took me to my first Broadway show, we saw the Book of Mormon.

The Big Day! We had an outdoor spring wedding in the warm Texas weather. The ceremony was short and sweet, we wanted as much time as we could have to spend with our family and friends that came from either side of the country to come celebrate us. The party was amazing, and everyone loved it! The highlights were definitely the photo booth and the after party.

What was your favorite part of your wedding? Neither me or my fiance are from Texas, in fact we are from opposite ends of the US. Even so, we had 130 family and friends come to celebrate our marriage. And that's really what it was all about.

What advice would you give to future brides? Make sure you speak with any vendors to clarify wants and needs otherwise there is a lot of design making being done the day of which adds stress. EAT! Eat while you're getting ready and eat at your reception, otherwise you will be either hungry and grumpy or maybe get a little more tipsy than you anticipate.
