Glamp got proposed to at camp!
“We were camping on lake CDA with my family last summer,” shared Believe Bride, Savannah Glamp. “We all went to dinner at the marina's restaurant on and Dakota was so anxious, I honestly thought he was sick with how many times he ran to the bathroom!”
During dessert, the waiter brought out a to-go box and set it in front of her.
“When I opened it, there was a note saying 'Will you marry me?" with flowers and when I turned he was down on one knee,” smiled Savannah.
The two were happily married 14 months later on October 5, 2019, at a beautiful Montana hot springs resort.
“Our wedding day was perfect! It was just the right amount of rustic yet sophisticated,” shared the couple.
Quinn’s and William, their DJ from Excellence In Entertainment, did an excellent job running the evening, so they had little to worry about. The food from Quinn’s and Nothing Bundt Cakes was amazing, everyone raved about it the whole night, according to the pair.
“Even though it was windy and raining most of the afternoon, into the time set aside for pictures, we all made it work and no one could tell how freezing we all were,” laughed the bride. My dress and veil from Believe Bride were perfect! The veil was a show stopper, especially blowing around in the wind most of the ceremony.”
The bride said the veil made for one of her “absolute favorite pictures.” Kristen Lauren Photography captured the moment and Simple Beauty Lashes, as well as Appleway Florist, provided the extra touches.
One of the many highlights of the evening was having everyone they loved in the same room to watch them play the shoe game. The couple laughed as they took off their shoes sat back to back. A list of questions was asked and the couple had to hold up either his or her shoe based on who they thought fit the question.
“It got a lot of laughs and we had so much fun with this impromptu game,” they smiled. “Then when I tossed my bouquet, Dakota's grandma caught it and it was the most amazing thing that could have happened,” said Savannah. The newlyweds later danced to Cowboys and Angels by Dustin Lynch.
Bride’s Special Moment:
After planning their wedding for a little over a year, they couldn’t believe how fast it went by. The bride explained that they wrote their own vows, making the ceremony, extra special.
“We tried to keep them a little shorter, in the hopes of not crying, but decided to write each other notes to be delivered by someone in our wedding party before the first look while we were getting ready,” said the bride. “It was super sweet and gave us a chance to write everything we wanted that maybe couldn't fit in our vows. I loved every minute of it and will cherish that night forever.”
Another highlight was the rainbow that appeared after the ceremony.
“This was so special to me, I only have one grandma who wasn't able to make it, but the rainbow made me feel like the others were all still a part of our big day,” shared Savannah.
Congratulations to Savannah and Dakota Johnson! May your time together be filled with love and joy.
