Corinne + Jason

Corrine and Jason tied the knot on October 3, 2020 at the Q'emiln State Park Trailhead Event Center. You might not be able to tell from the photos, but they had WAY too much fun! I am so glad that you guys were able to have the absolute time of your lives on your big day. Thank you so much for sharing these memories with us, and letting us relive the day all over with you.

Cheers to a lifetime of happiness.

The Proposal. I got off work and got home after midnight to a note on the door. It told me to meet him at the boat launch at Q'emiln State Park (where we wanted to get married). He had laid out a blanket and candles and was waiting there with our dog and flowers. I obviously knew what was going to happen - because what else would we be doing on the beach at midnight! He couldn't stop hugging me, but he eventually got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. It was perfect!

The Big Day: What an absolutely perfect day. We started the day apart, getting ready with our bridal and groom parties. I had nervous knots, even though I knew we had everything taken care of. We met on the beach for a first look and as soon as he turned to me, and we were finally together, all of my nerves went away. We were finally getting married! Our photographer had drawn up an itinerary and we were on-time, if not early for everything. We were all able to be relaxed and really enjoy every moment. The key was to not worry about anything else, besides marrying the love of your life. All the other details would work out, but they weren't nearly as important. COVID changed our plans - some special guests couldn't make it, people wore masks and there was a lot more hand sanitizer than I ever thought there would be. But it was an absolutely perfect day in the craziest year. It's exactly what we needed and wanted. We could not be happier!

What was your favorite part of your wedding?: Jason and I decided that we would write our own personal vows, but not for the wedding. At our first look, it was just us and our photographers on the beach, and that's when we exchanged these vows. It was insanely intimate and emotional. And if we're being honest - we wouldn't have been able to get them out quickly enough at the actual ceremony. This is something I will always remember, and I'm so glad we did it this way.

We also left our reception to take sunset photos. This was great, not only for the gorgeous photos, but it gave us a moment to just be with each other after the ceremony. After all the hard parts were done - we took a hike into Q'emiln State Park and got to breathe and talk with one another.

Special Memories: I think my most special memories were in my favorite parts above. But there was another fun moment during the reception - one of my favorite karaoke songs came on and Jason ran to the DJ and demanded a mic for me because he wanted to hear me sing. I didn't really want to, but when your new husband is begging you to sing for him - you just have to do it! So I was in the center of the dance floor, belting our Locked Out Of Heaven by Bruno Mars.

At the end of the night, the DJ played "Closing Time" and everyone got into a big circle around us as we danced together in the center. That was such a fun moment that ended the day so perfectly.

What advice would you give to future brides?: My biggest advice is to go with the flow. Enjoy the day, and don't worry about anything but marrying the love of your life. Surround yourself with a team of family and friends that know the plan for the day and what you're wanting to see happen and trust that they will do their best to see that through.

How To Choose Bridesmaid Dresses

How To Choose Bridesmaid Dresses

Congratulations, you’re getting married! Planning your wedding is such an exciting time. One of the best parts? Getting to celebrate with all your girls! Your bridesmaids are ready to support you on your special day, and you get to help them look fabulous while they do!

katelyn-macmillan-5VhSc5jCA2g-unsplash.jpg

Choosing bridesmaid dresses is an important part of wedding planning...after all, your girls will be standing next to you during the ceremony (and in your amazing wedding photos). If you’re ready to choose bridesmaid dresses, we’ve rounded up a few things to keep in mind to help you decide what your girls should wear.

Here’s how to choose bridesmaid dresses for your wedding:

1. Consider Budget

First things first, consider what your bridesmaids’ budgets may be. If they’re all in a similar range, that’s great! However, it’s quite possible that their budgets will vary. Keep in mind all the other costs that will be associated with your wedding and factor those in as you consider the price range for bridesmaid dresses. There are so many beautiful dresses available in a range of prices -- you’re sure to find something that suits your wedding style and your bridesmaids’ budgets!

Tip: If you like the idea of mix and match bridesmaid dresses, this can be a great option for bridesmaids on a budget! You can choose the color and give some guidelines on style, then let your girls find a dress that works for them. Even better? This option means your girls are more likely to wear their dress again in the future!

2. Factor In Wedding Venue and Time of Year

Next, think about where you’re getting married and when. Are you planning a summertime beach wedding? A fall wedding in the mountains? Will your wedding and reception be indoors or outdoors? This will help you determine the right style of bridesmaid dresses for your wedding.

A formal indoor wedding with a black-tie reception will have a different feel than a farm wedding with a barn reception. There are bridesmaid dress styles for both, and everything in between! Considering the overall vibe of your wedding location will help guide you to the perfect bridesmaid dress styles.

Tip: Don’t forget accessories! Accessories can help bridge the gap between your dream style and external factors like temperature. If you’ve fallen in love with a sleeveless dress style for your outdoor fall wedding, consider adding a cute wrap or jacket to the look to help your girls stay warm.

3. Choose Your Colors

If you’ve already decided your wedding’s color scheme, you likely have a good idea of the color (or colors) you’d like your bridesmaids dresses to be. Check out some of the most popular options for bridesmaid dress colors:

  • Monochrome: If you love the idea of all your bridesmaids in the same color of dress, this is for you! This classic option creates a lovely streamlined look.

  • Two Tone: Choose two colors from your wedding’s palette and have your girls mix it up! This can be especially fun if you alternate dress colors in the lineup for the ceremony and photos.

  • Ombre: Choose one color for your bridesmaids’ dresses, and let them choose the shade. This is a great option if your bridesmaids have a range of skin tones -- they’ll be able to choose a shade most flattering to them!

  • Mix It Up: If you want to give your bridesmaids more choices, let them choose a dress in any color from your wedding palette. Another fun option is letting them use your wedding bouquet as inspiration -- pulling colors from your bouquet to help guide their dress choices can make for some photos that really pop!

4. Find Your Favorite Style

There are so many gorgeous bridesmaid dress styles to choose from! You may have the perfect one in mind already, but if you’re still searching, here are a few style themes to consider:

  • Identical: Much like choosing one color of dress, choosing one style of bridesmaid dress creates a classic look. If your bridesmaids have a wide range of body types, consider allowing for small alterations (i.e. adding thin straps to a sleeveless gown) to help everyone feel their best in their dress.

  • Same Length, Different Silhouette: This can be a great middle ground between identical dresses and letting your bridesmaids choose any style. Everyone in the same dress length helps create that streamlined look, and allowing bridesmaids to choose a silhouette most flattering to their figure will help them feel fabulous. Win-win!

  • Bridesmaid’s Choice: If you want to give your girls the freedom to find a dress they really love, this is a great option! Providing them with a color scheme and details about the venue and season will help them choose a dress that works for your wedding as well as for their body type and budget!

5. Add Shoes and Accessories

Don’t forget the finishing touches! Once you’ve decided on dresses, it’s time for shoes and accessories. These final details will really bring the look together!

  • Shoes: The type of shoes you decide on may depend on your wedding venue (i.e. strappy stilettos that may be perfect for a hotel ballroom won’t work so well on a beach). You can send your girls approved options for shoes, or give them guidelines for color and/or style and let them choose their own pair.

  • Accessories: Accessory choices could range from a clutch, to a wrap, to jewelry! You can give your bridesmaids some suggestions on the look you’re hoping for and let them choose. That said, accessories also make great bridesmaids gifts!

We hope these ideas have helped you determine how to choose bridesmaid dresses! If you’re ready to see some bridesmaid dresses in Spokane, book an appointment at Believe Bride today. Bring your girls, pick your colors, and try on dresses in person. And don’t worry -- if some of your bridesmaids live out of town, we’re happy to ship their dresses!

July 2, 2021, at the beautiful Trezzi Farms Winery in Greenbluff, these two lovebirds committed to forever. We wish you a lifetime of love, and kisses, and more joy than you could hope for. Welcome to the Believe bride Family!

lavendar wedding.jpg

The Proposal: Andrew proposed on September 21st, 2020 in our first home we ever had together. He decorated our place because he wanted to look back on that day for many years and remember our first home together <3

The Big Day: Our wedding was simple and perfect! We decided to do first looks which was the BEST decision because it helped get all of our crazy nerves out of the way. Our colors were lavender, navy blue and forest green. We had a more rustic/farm style wedding and it was absolutely perfect! My grandfather cut wood planks for our center pieces and it was the perfect wood touch. Everything was what we hopped and dreamed about!

What was your favorite part of your wedding?: My favorite part though by far was that we said our vows privately in the bridal suite. We got to take 30 minutes of alone time together on the crazy day and it was something I will never forget

Special Memories: My husband and I met at a rave and our dj played music that reminded us from the day we met. We also had the BEST photographer and videographer and they captured the best moments of our day. One of my favorite memories though was the father daughter dance. The entire room was crying by the end of the song.

What advice would you give to future brides?: Make a few of your bridesmaids or groomsmen designated wedding “jerks”. If anything starts going south it will be their job to set things straight!

Abby + Jacob

Happy Anniversary to these two! A year ago, on August 8, 2020, these two said I do in one of the most beautiful weddings we have seen. We know that the past year hasn’t been the easiest, but we hope that being newlyweds made it a little bit special.

Cheers!

The Proposal: Jake had a perfect date night planned out - a fancy dinner at a really expensive restaurant followed by a walk at our favorite spot. Plans changed as we saw amazing looking pizza on the way and went for that, then got some ice cream. We continued to watch the sunset at one of our favorite spots, Table Rock. Jake popped the question and there was no hesitancy to say YES!

The Big Day: Our wedding was amazing! It was truly a blend of both families coming together to help make it happen. It took place at my Uncle's ranch outside of Lewiston, Idaho in the Craig mountains. There's a 10 mile bumpy, dirt road up to the venue, so we really made our guests go on an adventure! Our ceremony was near the pond in the pines and our reception was just a walk away in a covered barn area for our guests. The theme was rustic chic and everything fit just that! Our colors were dusty blue and green, which was beautiful in this setting! It wouldn't have been possible without my mom and her friends who planned everything. It was hard work to get all the materials we needed up in the mountains, but it was amazing to see my whole family come together to help make it happen and make sure the day was perfect for us! And it truly was!!

What was your favorite part of your wedding?: I loved the ceremony. There were so many personal touches that all came together to make it so special - my sister sang as my parents walked me down the aisle, both our parents lit union candles, and our closest friends stood right next to us. Our pastor said to Jake and I, "Before we get to it, take a look at everyone around you. Look at how many people made the trip to be here for you guys." And it was truly how I imagined my wedding day - simply amazing!

Special Memories: I loved getting ready with my girls beforehand! Since we were out in the mountains, there was a 'Guys' trailer and a 'Gals' trailer for us to get ready in. We were all in one spot together and maybe a little more close and personal than planned! This made it super fun though!

The shoe game had to be one of my favorite parts of the ceremony! It was so fun to have everyone laughing along with us.

The food was amazing - bbq and mac and cheese! I didn't get a whole lot of time to eat so it was special to be able to sit down and enjoy it for about 5 minutes.

The cake was absolutely perfect and delicious! It was so special because it was made by our aunt's! It was fun to watch the whole process and see how it all came together.

My grandma Rosie was very close to me and she passed a short time ago. My Aunt's assured me she was there as a beautiful butterfly flew down the aisle to Jake and I as he kissed the bride!

What advice would you give to future brides?: It is important to have your vision and everything you want your day to look like. But once it comes, just relax and enjoy it, no matter what! There's nothing more you can do, and some things may be not be perfect, but that doesn't matter anymore. It's about you and your husband, and the family surrounding you! The one thing you remember for years to come is how you felt throughout the whole day - which is pure happiness!

The Big Day: My husband is in the military so our wedding was rushed. I always said that someday I would have my dream wedding…and that dream finally came true. While my husband was deployed in Korea I planned the wedding from outfits to decor. Every small or big touches that were added to the wedding I did myself. I wouldn't change anything. My best friend came home and my dream finally came true.

What was your favorite part of your wedding?:My husband set up a chair for my grandmother who has passed away and put flowers on the seat and pedals around the chair cause he knew how special she was to me. Once I got down the aisle and looked out at everyone I saw the chair and started to cry.

Special Memories: Having our daughter do the first look. A special moment for her dad since he was away for 9 months.

What advice would you give to future brides?: Don't stress out about every detail and everything will fall into place.

The Proposal: It was Christmas Day 2019 and the first time I was meeting his family. He pulled me under the mistletoe and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him

The Big Day: The Little While Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas!!!! There were about 10 people there.

What was your favorite part of your wedding?:The moment I saw him all dressed, him and my dad walking me down the aisle.

What advice would you give to future brides?: Keep it simple.

Amy + Robby

June 13th, 2019, these two lovebirds tied the knot at St. Aloysius Catholic Church and then danced the night away at Fox & Goat Ranch! Congratulations you two, we wish you so much love and happiness. Happy to have you in the Believe Bride Family!

Field Pic.2.jpg

The Proposal: The morning of the day my husband proposed, he took me to get pedicures. Work had been extremely stressful so he recognized my need for a little self care. We had planned to meet his family at Arbor Crest that night. When we got to Arbor Crest, the sunset was stunning so, naturally, I wanted a picture. He was insistent on taking the picture by the Cliff House rather than just the parking lot which seemed strange, but I went along with it completely oblivious to what was about to happen. While his brother was taking a picture of us by the Cliff House, Robby got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the perfect place and the perfect proposal made even more perfect by having our family there to celebrate with us!

The Big Day: We were married at St. Aloysius Catholic Church where my grandparents, aunt & uncle, and cousin had all been married. Our reception was at Fox & Goat Ranch out near Airway Heights. The entire day was a dream! I had always imagined getting married at St. Als so that was the first part of the dream come true. Fox & Goat Ranch is located in the middle of rolling wheat fields. The venue had a great indoor and outdoor location. Our guests enjoyed playing hammerschlagen, ladder ball, and corn hole dancing to the music provided by Smash Hit Carnival, eating delicious bbq from Big Rod’s BBQ, and taking in the beautiful views at the ranch. The day was better than we could have imagined!

black and white bride and groom

What was your favorite part of your wedding?: I can’t pick out one favorite part. The entire day was just amazing! Overall, being able to share each part of the day with the most important people in our tribe was an incredible blessing.

Special Memories: Our first look, Our first dance, Sunset pictures in the field, Spending the morning getting ready with my girls, Feeling so much love from everyone that came to celebrate with us!

What advice would you give to future brides?: Make plans, but be okay with flexibility when change.

Flowers aren't just for bouquets!

Flowers and weddings go hand in hand! It’s an element that allows your personality to shine through. Finding a great florist is a surefire way to add an artistic element to your big day that is sure to make an impact.

Often times, brides think about flowers in their bouquet, or maybe even their centerpieces, but rarely do they consider other possibilities. One area that flowers have long been overlooked: the bridal party! We’re not talking traditional bridesmaids bouquets, nope! It’s time to get the guys involved.

boutonniere.jpg

We had the honor of partnering with some incredible local vendors to do this styled shoot, and we instantly fell in love with the florals elements for our guys. Design House Florals created these custom, one of a kind pieces for us to showcase alongside our menswear collection. These pocket squares and lapel arrangements are such a fresh take on the classic boutonniere. And dare we say, so much more stylish!

Now that your entire wedding party is decked out with incredible florals, you can start thinking about your ceremony space. Adding flowers to your altar or creating a custom wedding altar is one way to add even more personality to your wedding day. Not to mention, it makes for absolutely stunning photo opportunities for the couple as well as for their guests.

We love the use of flowers to help elevate your day to match your vision. Whether you add a couple of blooms, opt for silk flowers, have no flowers at all, or add floral elements to every part of your design, this is such a cool way to let your personality shine.

Cheers to all of your wedding plans! May they be fully in bloom.
