Corinne + Jason

Corrine and Jason tied the knot on October 3, 2020 at the Q'emiln State Park Trailhead Event Center. You might not be able to tell from the photos, but they had WAY too much fun! I am so glad that you guys were able to have the absolute time of your lives on your big day. Thank you so much for sharing these memories with us, and letting us relive the day all over with you.

Cheers to a lifetime of happiness.

The Proposal. I got off work and got home after midnight to a note on the door. It told me to meet him at the boat launch at Q'emiln State Park (where we wanted to get married). He had laid out a blanket and candles and was waiting there with our dog and flowers. I obviously knew what was going to happen - because what else would we be doing on the beach at midnight! He couldn't stop hugging me, but he eventually got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. It was perfect!

The Big Day: What an absolutely perfect day. We started the day apart, getting ready with our bridal and groom parties. I had nervous knots, even though I knew we had everything taken care of. We met on the beach for a first look and as soon as he turned to me, and we were finally together, all of my nerves went away. We were finally getting married! Our photographer had drawn up an itinerary and we were on-time, if not early for everything. We were all able to be relaxed and really enjoy every moment. The key was to not worry about anything else, besides marrying the love of your life. All the other details would work out, but they weren't nearly as important. COVID changed our plans - some special guests couldn't make it, people wore masks and there was a lot more hand sanitizer than I ever thought there would be. But it was an absolutely perfect day in the craziest year. It's exactly what we needed and wanted. We could not be happier!

What was your favorite part of your wedding?: Jason and I decided that we would write our own personal vows, but not for the wedding. At our first look, it was just us and our photographers on the beach, and that's when we exchanged these vows. It was insanely intimate and emotional. And if we're being honest - we wouldn't have been able to get them out quickly enough at the actual ceremony. This is something I will always remember, and I'm so glad we did it this way.

We also left our reception to take sunset photos. This was great, not only for the gorgeous photos, but it gave us a moment to just be with each other after the ceremony. After all the hard parts were done - we took a hike into Q'emiln State Park and got to breathe and talk with one another.

Special Memories: I think my most special memories were in my favorite parts above. But there was another fun moment during the reception - one of my favorite karaoke songs came on and Jason ran to the DJ and demanded a mic for me because he wanted to hear me sing. I didn't really want to, but when your new husband is begging you to sing for him - you just have to do it! So I was in the center of the dance floor, belting our Locked Out Of Heaven by Bruno Mars.

At the end of the night, the DJ played "Closing Time" and everyone got into a big circle around us as we danced together in the center. That was such a fun moment that ended the day so perfectly.

What advice would you give to future brides?: My biggest advice is to go with the flow. Enjoy the day, and don't worry about anything but marrying the love of your life. Surround yourself with a team of family and friends that know the plan for the day and what you're wanting to see happen and trust that they will do their best to see that through.

Vendor Credit:

We had THE BEST line up of vendors. Hands down. Everyone that we chose was a team player that made everything go so smoothly.

Caterer: Parras Catering - https://www.facebook.com/parrascatering
Delicious, affordable and easy to work with! They served everyone to make sure people were safe from COVID-19 and it went so fast.

Dessert: Birdie's Pie Shop - https://birdiespies.com/, https://www.facebook.com/birdiespieshop, https://www.instagram.com/birdiespieshop/
We got so many compliments on our "Birdies Bites"! We had 500 mini pies in 7 different flavors, Enough for most to try every flavor and then some. We hardly had any left! They're such a fun local shop to interact with. A great, unique dessert option.

DJ: Spokane Photobooth - https://www.facebook.com/spokanephotobooth
Bob at Spokane Photobooth was an AMAZING DJ. The Photobooth/DJ package can not be beat. Bob is also a photographer so he knows how weddings go, and that is a valuable asset for a DJ. He knows how to keep people entertained so YOU DONT HAVE TO. I was never worried about leaving my guests alone. He is THE MAN. Plus, the photobooth gave everyone such great memories!

Officiant: A Day To Remember, Gary Weber - https://www.weddingwire.com/biz/a-day-to-remember-spokane/dd19b63f936db858.html
Gary did such a great job at getting to know Jason and I and personalizing the ceremony for us. He made it short and sweet, but special and intimate. He also knows to move over to the side so he's not behind you for your first kiss. Great guy!

Photographer: Amber Tyler - http://ambertyler.com/, https://www.facebook.com/ambertylerphotog, https://www.instagram.com/ambertyler87/
Amber and Travis were great to work with. Their wedding package included engagement photos, all-day wedding coverage and a wedding video. I've known them a long time and they're great people and BEYOND talented. The moments they were able to capture are stunning and I will cherish them forever.
