Lexi + Tucker

Lexi and Tucker tied the knot on September 17th, 2022 at the Archwood Hall in Coeur d'Alene, and their wedding was a beautiful and memorable event. The couple's love for each other was evident in every detail, from the colorful decorations to the intimate setting. It was a sweet and romantic celebration that truly reflected their personalities and style. The newlyweds radiated joy and happiness, and their guests were left with a lasting impression of the love that they share. Congratulations Lexi and Tucker and welcome to the Believe Bride Family!

The Proposal! Tucker made me a scrapbook for Christmas recapping our entire year and said that we were going to end our year with professional photos. He ended up proposing during the shoot!

The Big Day! The wedding had a plethora of color. We had dusty blues with pops of colors in the flowers. I had a vision of what I wanted and ran with it. I was clear with my expectations of all of our vendors and they went above and beyond!!!!!

What was your favorite part of your wedding? We had a more personal message with our pastor before we went to the altar. He prayed over our marriage making it a super intimate sweet moment.

Special Memories: Our wedding bands were forgotten when we said our vows so our ring bear brought two random rings up in the middle of the wedding. We didn’t know that they weren’t our rings until the exchanging!☺️

What advice would you give to future brides? The details matter and splurge on a talented florist

Ally + Kenny

Ally and Kenny's wedding day was a true adventure! With rain pouring down and the wind blowing like crazy, they decided to tie the knot on the docks near the Coeur d'Alene Resort. Their elopement was short, sweet, and absolutely perfect. Even though the weather was less than ideal, they had the time of their lives. They held onto each other tightly as they exchanged vows, and you could see the love in their eyes. It was a day they will never forget, rain, wind, and all!

Afterwards, they took pictures and walked around downtown Coeur d'Alene before having dinner at the Dockside. It was perfect!

Amber + Nate

Amber and Nate were married on August 20th, 2022 at the same church their parents and grandparents were married in. The elegant and simple ceremony and reception held many sentimental memories as they took the first steps into their new life together, surrounded by family, friends and church members! Congratulations Amber and Nate and welcome to the Believe Bride Family!

The Proposal! The best April fools day ever! Yes, that is right, my fiancé proposed to me on April fools day! He had originally planned to propose to me the previous Saturday, however, I was sick and he had to improvise. I was still at work when I received a text from my man asking if I would like to go to Manito Park for a stroll then afterwards go look at some rings together. I was so excited! we were walking for a while, when suddenly he stops underneath a stone gazebo. I was in complete shock. This was something I had been dreaming about ever since I was little AND IT WAS HAPPENING! After giving me the sweetest speech, he asked for my hand in marriage and produced a ring I had saved on my Etsy quite a while back. It was a perfect proposal on a very memorable day!

The Big Day! Our wedding was hosted at the place we first met, church. We didn't know it at the time, but this is both the place where my parents and his grandparents were married! This made for some fun re-creations of our family members weddings and added sentimental value. We decided to go with green and gold for the main colors, and to stick to a simple, yet elegant theme. So many church members, friends, and family helped in setting up for the big day. My fiancé added some very fun touches by stringing lights to the ceilings in both the ceremony area and reception. My mother, mother in law and aunt in law helped create a wonderful feast for the big day. We were truly blessed for everyone's help. It was beyond what I had hoped for and more lovely than what I could have imagined. The decorations, the food, close family and friends all there to share it with, made it perfect. I am so grateful!

What was your favorite part of your wedding? My favorite part of my wedding was my fiancé seeing me in my dress for the first time. We did a private first look up at Manito Park. I just remember the photographer telling him to turn around, and all i could think was that he is so handsome in his suite (him and the groomsmen rented from Believe Bride). He started to cry and we both became emotional. I remember the nice woman who helped me find my dress, Darlene, and how she encouraged me to keep the back open. I am so glad I did! He spun me around and our photographer caught the cutest image of him seeing my backless dress for the first time. It was just a special private moment to share with each other!

Special Memories: One major, special memory from the big day happened at 3:00am. I received a text from my soon to be sister in-law/ my makeup artist that she would not be attending because she was in the hospital in labor! This was so special. This was the niece that both my fiancé and I have been praying for a safe pregnancy/ delivery! Although Nates brother was not able to be a groomsman that day, in order to be with his wife during her delivery, it added to our special day. We were waiting to go down the aisle, when a phone was handed over to us. About 6 minuets before our wedding started, we were shown our beautiful baby niece! It makes for a memory I will forever treasure.

What advice would you give to future brides? Stop, take a moment, and soak it all in! This is your special day. Not everything is going to be perfect, something is bound to go wrong, but the main focus is that you are getting married to the love of your life! Enjoy it! Sometimes the things that don't go according to plan, make the day even more memorable!

What to Wear to a Wedding

Wedding season is in full swing at Believe Bride! You’ve sent the RSVP, booked a hotel, and mentally prepared yourself to hear the Cha Cha Slide for the millionth time. Still, there’s one thing left to accomplish: deciding what to wear to the wedding! Believe Bride is here to help you navigate wedding guest attire for every season, dress code, and style.

Semi-formal, black-tie, casual  – what does it all mean? Guests often get hung up on dress codes. Panicked, they throw all prior fashion experience out the window and begin the hunt for the perfect wedding guest attire. Dress codes can feel confusing and intimidating, but they’re actually there to help you! Let’s break down the most common dress codes to find out what to wear to a wedding.

Semi-Formal

Semi-formal is the most common dress code for weddings. This dress code empowers guests with flexibility on how dressy they want to go. Cocktail dresses and floor-length gowns are both fair game for a semi-formal wedding! Even if dresses aren’t your style, a stunning jumpsuit is a great option for a semi-formal wedding! Additionally, semi-formal wedding guest attire gives attendees more freedom, welcoming bold prints and patterns that may come off as gauche at a black-tie wedding.

Our recommendation: Semi-formal weddings are your oyster! With so many options, you can stay true to your style no matter what you wear. Believe Bride has a selection of cocktail-length dresses, evening gowns, and more! Don’t feel you have to tone down your personality just because it’s a semi-formal event. If you feel overwhelmed, you can narrow down your options by taking the venue and season into consideration.

Black Tie and Black Tie Optional

If you furrowed your brow at the phrase “black tie optional,” you’re definitely not the first! The word “optional” isn’t exactly straightforward. Essentially, the main difference between black tie and black tie optional is that black tie requires your most formal wear, such as gowns and tuxedos. Black tie optional is a tad more relaxed – guests can sport black tie apparel or wear elegant dresses and suits less formal than the traditional tuxedo or gown.

Our recommendation: We’re all for dressing it up! If you’re invited to a black-tie optional wedding, indulge yourself in our collection of black-tie wedding guest attire. We have an array of formal gowns in different styles and colors to choose from. Find something uniquely you at Believe Bride! If you’re leaning toward the less formal option, we’re happy to help you pick out a more customary option.

Casual

While it sounds simple, sometimes a casual dress code can feel like the most pressure for a guest! Am I too dressy? Or worse, too casual? It can be a lot. If you receive an invite with this dress code, you’ll most likely be attending a summer wedding or a smaller ceremony surrounded by the couples’ loved ones. Beach weddings tend to abide by this code as well. The most important thing to remember is that the bride and groom want you to be relaxed and comfortable – they’re just happy you’re there! At Believe Bride, you can find something that makes you look as good as you feel. We will help you find what to wear to a wedding, whether it’s a beach destination or a private ceremony.

Our recommendation: For casual wedding guest attire, flow is the way to go! Whether you want to sport a long or short dress, choosing an airy silhouette will have you feeling confident and comfortable and keep you cool during those hot summer months.

Wedding Guest Attire Crash Course: Important Things to Remember

We wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t give you one friendly reminder before you go… Unless otherwise specified on the invitation, it is not proper etiquette to wear white to a wedding. You’re probably thinking, “DUH!” but it bears repeating. A good rule of thumb is that if you have to ask, “is this too much white?” the answer is most likely yes. Some brides request that guests abstain from wearing red because of its eye-catching qualities, but this rule is not as universal in the wedding industry.

Lastly, prioritize comfort! When deciding what to wear to a wedding, you want to look for something that’s equal parts fashionable and functional (give or take). This goes for your dress and shoes. If you’re no stranger to the dance floor, keep this in mind when shopping for wedding guest attire!

This may not be your big day, but there’s no reason you can’t shine! Dance through wedding season in style with Believe Bride’s wide selection of gowns and dresses. Contact us today to find your dream wedding guest attire!

Jordan + Derek

An Epic Destination Wedding filled with Helicopter Rides, Glaciers, Pristine Waters, and of course Love!!

Jordan and Derek said I do on July 11, 2022 and we are thrilled to have been a part of this romance adventure. Welcome to the believe Bride Family Jordan & Derek.

The Proposal : .Derek purposed on the Clark Fork River while fly fishing. I said yes, just as a double rainbow appeared.

The Big Day: Derek and I decided to elope, (best decision ever). We took helicopters with our parents and exchanged vows In front of a beautiful blue pool on a Glacier. Choosing to elope and having just our parents there with us allowed the day to really be about us. After we said our I Do's, we spent the rest of the day flying around to beautiful locations around the glacier. We got to spend this special day together while we explored and adventured. Not to mention we took some amazing photos.
We came back to Spokane and had a reception. This gave us the opportunity to celebrate with our friends and family that were not able to go with us.

What was your favorite part of your wedding? The blue pool on the glacier where we got married at is one of a kind. The pools melt and empty so we are the only ones that will ever be married at that spot.

Special Memories: Eloping allowed us to spend the day with each other and not feel that we had to entertain. The day was truly about us.

What advice would you give to future brides?:?: Other peoples opinions do not matter. This day is about you and your significant other.

2023 Prom Dress Trends with Believe Bride

In the world of fashion, designers are always thinking two steps ahead. By the time Prom 2023 rolls around, we’ll be able to tell you what to look out for in 2024. We’ve had our ear to the ground for a while now, and we’ve got the forecast on the showstopping prom dress trends for Prom Season 2023. Lean into these prom dress styles, make them your own, or defy them completely – it’s YOUR night!

Express Yourself with Bright Colors

If a little black dress is timeless, then a colorful dress is everlasting. Make a lasting impression at Prom 2023 with bright hues like pink, yellow, or orange! Don’t shy away from shades of blue, green, and red either. If bold colors aren’t your thing, try a classic black or gold dress with bright accessories.

Be the Main Character in Sequin Glam

A little sequin never hurt nobody! Make a statement in full-on sequins or incorporate them as a flashy accent. In 2023, we’ll be seeing sequins in spades. Whether you play them up or down, you’re sure to shimmer and shine on the dance floor!

Fit, Flare, Flow

This is our favorite 2023 prom dress trend for one reason: comfort. What’s better than a stunning dress that’s actually… comfortable?! Nothing. Nothing is better. Personally, we’re thankful that flowy dresses are making a comeback. Create a truly effortless look for any body type with a fit and flare or flowy dress.

Unique Fabrics Make You One-of-a-Kind

Trends and fads may come and go, but we’re certain of one thing: unique fabrics aren’t going anywhere. Over the past few years, we’ve seen a common theme of girls wanting to stand out in their dresses. Unique fabrics are an easy way to set yourself apart this prom season (think: satin, chiffon, and tulle).

Prom 2023 can’t get here fast enough! We love these prom dress styles that are completely customizable, making them perfect for every girl. The best part is they’re not mutually exclusive. Mix and match these trends to create the look of your dreams!

Your prom dress is a statement. You get to decide what it says. With hundreds of colors, sizes, and styles, Believe Bride can help you write the narrative. Like letters on a page, our selection of silhouettes, fabrics, and designs empower you to tell your story.

Megan + Mitch

Megan and Mitch were married on July 23rd of 2022 on a sandy beach near Seaside, Oregon. Their intimate ceremony on the beach with their little fur baby Pickles was such a sweet moment. Congratulations Mitch and Megan, we are so thrilled to have been a part of your love story.

Bride and groom on beach long train

The Proposal :. We booked a weekend getaway to Seaside, OR over Valentine's Day weekend in 2021. On the morning of Saturday, February 13th, we took a walk on the beach before heading to breakfast. It was also the first time our miniature dachshund, Pickle, had ever been to the beach. As we were enjoying our morning walk and watching Pickle discover the beach, Mitch stopped and fidgeted with something in his pockets. I turned around to see him on one knee with a ring box in his hand! I was in complete shock and of course said yes! We had been together almost 8 years and had recently moved to Seattle for him to start his dream job with the Seattle Fire Department and I thought the last thing on his mind would be to get married. Turns out, he had told everyone in his SFD Recruit Class that he was going to propose as soon as recruit school was over becuase he knew how much of a sacrifice I had made to move away from all of my friends and family just so he could chase his dreams. On one of our visits back home to Lewiston, ID, he had visited our hometown jeweler "The Diamond Shop" and picked out the perfect ring! He had hid it from me for almost two months and I had no idea! He said he wanted to get it from The Diamond Shop so that I would always have a piece of home with me.

The Big Day: Our wedding day was the best day of my life. Since we got engaged in Seaside, OR, we decided that we also wanted to get married somewhere on the beach. We settled on Gearhart, OR, just a few miles north of Seaside. Our reception was held at McMenamins Gearhart, which has just about as much personalities and quirks as we do. The venue and beach locations were absolutely stunning and we couldn't have asked for better weather (with the Oregon Coast, you never know what you're going to get!).

We had a small wedding, with about 80 of our closest friends and family. Our wedding party was also small, just a maid of honor and best man. The beach set up was very simple with white folding chairs and a driftwood arch that was draped in fabric and flowers. The ocean was our backdrop for the ceremony.

For the reception, we had tents set up in an L shape, with the open portion being the "dance floor". We hung lights and greenery from the tents and put disco balls in the center of each tent to add a little bit of sparkle (highly recommend disco balls). Centerpieces were also very simple; half of the tables had white lanterns that we found at Ikea, and the other half had floral bouquets made up of white flowers and eucalyptus accents. Every table also had little votive candles in candle holders. Tablecloths were white, with sage green napkins.

What was your favorite part of your wedding? It's hard to pick just one thing as my favorite, but I think the first look and saying our own vows privately to each other was the best part. We got to get the serious stuff out of the way and it really helped calm my nerves to get to see Mitch before the ceremony.

Special Memories: We wanted to do something fun for our wedding photos, since you only get married once (hopefully :) ). So our photographer, Kali Photography based out of Lewiston, ID, took us on an adventure around Seaside, which was perfect because it got us away from the venue while they were setting up and all of our guests who were staying in Gearhart. We took photos on the carousel inside the Seaside Mall, along the promenade where we got engaged, and on a beautiful secluded driftwood beach. Our photos turned out amazing and it was really fun to walk around the busy town in our wedding outfits.

When it was time to walk down the aisle, I separated from Mitch so that I could meet my dad for a first look before he walked me down the aisle (we walked down the aisle from a different, hidden location). This ended up being one of my most favorite memories from the day. We didn't have any sort of formal dress code, and my dad had refused to tell me what he had purchased to wear for the day. All that he would tell me is that Pickle, our miniature dachshund, would love it. It was the most amazing Hawaiian shirt with dachshunds all over it! He had also felt left out from the "girl's day" that took place the day before when we all went to get Manicures and Pedicures, so he went out and found nail polish and had painted his toenails so that he could be fancy like the rest of us.

What advice would you give to future brides?: Enjoy the day. Something will go wrong...just embrace it. It makes for a good story later. Sneak away for some extra one on one photos during your reception. I highly recommend doing a first look. It really helps relieve all the stress from the day. Remember this day is about you and your future spouse, do what YOU want to do.

Brenden + Jackie

Brenden and Jackie married on April 23, 2022. These two connected in a way that felt like a fairy tale. Brenden new Jackie was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with after just a few months into their relationship. Welcome to the Believe Bride Tribe Brenden and Jackie!

Real bride and groom floral tie silk boutonniere

The Proposal :. We threw a family barbeque on October 10 , 2021. Me and Jackie had done a photoshoot that early afternoon so it was perfect since we would be all dressed up for the proposal. Once the photoshoot was done we headed to her grandparents house. I was nervous the entire time, wondering if I would stumble on my words, or accidentally fall over when I got on one knee. I had her grandpa take her out back to the shop while we prepped everything inside. After she left we sprang into action and put the setting together. We scattered over a dozen roses for petals. We laid them from the door down the hallway all the way to where I stood in the middle of a heart shaped pile of rose petals holding a bundle of roses and the ring. The camera’s were in place and the moment was now upon us. When her grandpa brought her back Jackie had frozen in place at the start of the path of rose petals. The room was quiet for a while and I finally called her name. She responded but still wouldn’t move. She called out to her family but nobody responded. I called her again and finally asked her to start walking. Which she did very slowly. All the while laughing and asking what was going on. When she finally got to me, she had the biggest smile on her face and was so excited. I gave her my little speech about how much I love her and how I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me and she said yes! Now here we are ready to say our vows and I do’s and go on to spend the rest of our lives together!

The Big Day: We are both Disney fans, and Brenden loves medieval, history and knights. When we found our venue ( Meadowinds ) we knew this location of a castle in the woods was a perfect blend for us. The day was perfect, magical, and full of love. The day was filled with hints of Disney and whimsical scenery. A lot of the decorations were DIY and we then used them for décor in our home together. My grandpa created our unity cross which now hangs up beside our bed. Sola wood flowers were used for florals, and with the help of my cousin Marissa, family and friends they created beautiful arrangements for the big day. We enlisted many of our loved ones to help including my brother Clint who DJ'd and wrote and played our first dance song along with my cousin Jonae accompanying him singing. Our wedding wasn’t just about us but we made sure to blend our families in the process and through it all glorifying God. Our theme was fairytale love. Hints of Disney and Beauty and the Beast rang through the entire day. It was whimsical, magical, and the perfect happily ever after ending. It was so much more then I had ever thought would be possible and I am re living the day over and over in my head. I continue to be amazed and so thankful for everyone’s help in closing this fairytale chapter.

What was your favorite part of your wedding? My favorite part of the wedding was our first touch before the ceremony. Brenden prayed for us and we shared notes with each other and just held hands, it calmed all of my nerves and after that moment, excitement and energy surged through my body.

Special Memories: There are so many parts of the wedding that will stick with me forever! Some of the top memories are of course, the first touch with Brenden before the ceremony. Walking down the aisle when Brenden turned around and his lip quivered, and I completely lost it in tears. Last one but not really! We lit a floating lantern like in the movie Tangled and it took a few minutes before it ignited and then it was going straight to the castle, but it lifted just at the perfect time and it floated right over the reception. It was so magical.

What advice would you give to future brides?: Take it all in, let your people handle all the events for the day. Relax, as much as that sounds daunting on the biggest day of your life, but if you can let go of control it will let you feel more present and you can just experience your day in the fullest. Remember to breathe, have fun, make memories and know things won’t always go as planned (even if you have planned and thought of everything) it will all be ok and wonderful! in the end.

Paige + Kasay

Paige and Kasay married in 2020 on August 8th. Even a pandemic couldn’t stop these two from marrying the love of their lives! We are so happy that despite what proved to be an obstacle for many weddings this year, you were still able to have a gorgeous and intimate wedding. We are so grateful to have been a part of it. Wishing you all the best! Welcome to the Believe Bride Tribe Paige!

The Proposal : He asked me at 4 in the morning in my bedroom at my parents house while Josh Turner "Would You go with Me" was playing.

The Big Day: Although my wedding was during covid season it truly didn't seem that way. It was at my parents’ property which was filled with natural greenery and lots of home grown flowers. It was truly like a garden wedding - so many home built or little family details were added.

What was your favorite part of your wedding?: Dancing with my uncle. It wasn't planned but was one of the highlights! I’m happy to have that memory.

Special Memories: My dad getting everyone pumped over the YMCA. Or how my husband, who said he wouldn't dance, spent most of the night on the dance floor!

What advice would you give to future brides?: You are the only one who knew what it was suppose to be, so don't sweat the small stuff or if something didn't go as planned.
