Kimberly + Brock

On July 17, 2021, Kimberly and Brock tied the knot at her parent’s ranch. In a ceremony that was absolutely picture perfect. Here’s to wishing you both a lifetime of happiness! Welcome to the Believe Bride Tribe!

The Proposal. On February 20th, Brock had suggested we get out of the house and go walk down at Higgins Point. It was cold, windy, and rainy, but honestly I didn't think it was anything out of the norm. Brock isn't the type to just sit around and he wouldn't let weather get in the way of enjoying the outdoors. So I bundled up and pretending like this was EXACTLY what I wanted to be doing too. After walking on the snow covered beach for a while, it was clear that I was freezing and I'm fairly certain my little toe was in the beginning stages of frostbite. So Brock decided this was the moment. He looked me in the eyes and asked me if I knew what day it was. "Its Saturday" I said. "Yea, you're right, but do you know what today actually is?" His eyes looked like they were watering but he claims it was because of the cold wind. "Its February 20th, the day before my moms birthday?" He laughed and said "I can't believe you don't know what day it is!" I reached for my phone to check our calendar, thinking I had missed a special anniversary, but he said I wasn't allowed to check it. "Here, I'll give you three hints." At this point his GoPro, that he very cleverly positioned to catch the moment, died. He grabbed it and started walking towards another area on the beach. I asked him what my hints were and all he kept saying was "you'll see." So we got to another area and he turned to face me. "Okay, I'll give you your hints now. Here's your first hint" He pulled a mini bottle of champagne out of his backpack and handed it me. "Now do you know what today is?" I looked at the champagne bottle and wondered what the heck he was up to because he's not really a drinker, especially champagne. "I can't believe you haven't figured out what today is yet. Here, maybe hint #2 will help." He pulled a single rose out from his backpack. Then I knew. This amazing man was about to ask me to spend the rest of my life with him. I was speechless, which is practically impossible for me. "NOW have you figured it out? If not, I think the last hint will give it away," and he pulled a ring box out, got down on one knee, and he asked me to marry him right there next to the water, in the snow. I bent down, hugged him, and cried. I had dreamt about this moment since I was little. I had always heard other sweet proposal stories, and wished I knew what it felt like. In my previous life, this moment never happened and it was more like casual, mutual agreement between two people. I felt jipped. But now God had brought the most amazing man into my life, and he was down on one knee, right in front of me, asking me to marry him. The moment was perfect, and its a moment I will re-live in my head every single day for years to come. On the way back to the car I asked him "So, what is today?" He looked at me and smiled and said "it's the day we got engaged, duh."

The Big Day: I tried to stay very simple. My colors were more earthy natural colors. Creams, dark greens, tans, but I did add just a tiny hint of blush pink :) We had it at my parents ranch on a cliffside, and every detail was created by me :) I had been married before in 2006 (before pinterest) and it wasn't at all what I had in mind. So I had my hand on every detail this time around! I tried to keep it very local to PNW- our cake was white cake with huckleberry filling, the wine was from Maryhill and Latah Creek, and our center pieces were wood cuts with white roses and hydrangeas.
We had about 100 guests and enjoyed dancing and food until almost midnight!

What was your favorite part of your wedding?: My favorite details was I hired a local country music musician (Joey Anderson) to sing "This is It" while I walked down the aisle.

Special Memories: My movie has always been Hope Floats because my life was exactly like Birdie. So our song was Garth Brooks To Make you Feel my Love, and it was the perfect song to represent our relationship.

What advice would you give to future brides?: Just stay calm!
